The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is a high-performance version of the Chevrolet Corvette produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors, introduced in 2007 for the 2009 model year. GM unveiled the car in December 2007 after months of speculation and spy shots of production mules, along with significant speculation on the car's name. The ZR1 is powered by a 6.2L LS9 supercharged V8 producing 638 horsepower, mated to a 6-speed manual. The cars can be identified by their significant use of carbon fiber on the roof and other parts of the body and a clear polycarbonate window allowing people to view the car's intercooler. Production ended in 2013.
