Modelo
The Lexus LFA is a limited production high-performance sports car produced by Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota. Designed by Kengo Matsumoto and Haruhiko Tanahashi, the LFA was originally conceived as a concept car in 2005 as the first car in Lexus's "LF" series of concept cars (then named the LF-A); the name apparently stands for Lexus Future Advance. The LFA is powered by a 4.8L 1LR-GUE V10 producing 553 horsepower mated to a 6-speed Aisin SA6 automated manual; this engine was developed in collaboration with Yamaha, with its exhaust note engineered to sound like a Formula One car and described by Toyota as "the roar of an angel". The car's frame is made of carbon composite with aluminum subframes. Production began in 2010 at Toyota's Motomachi Plant at a rate of 20 cars a day, continuing until 2012; priced at $375,000 per car, 500 were produced.
