The Koenigsegg CCXR is a limited-production very high-performance sports car produced by Koenigsegg Automotive from 2007 to 2009. Designed by Christian von Koenigsegg, David Crafoord and Sven-Harry Åkesson, the CCXR is a "more environmentally-friendly" version of the CCX, its main difference being its 4.7L supercharged V8 engine being converted to burn E85 or E100 ethanol fuel in addition to being able to use standard 98 octane gasoline; it also comes with a number of optional diffusers to enhance airflow. While burning ethanol the car produces 1,018 horsepower. 9 were produced. A number of regular CCXs were later converted to CCXR specification.
