Porsche 911 GT2 EVO 993

The Porsche 911 GT2 is a high-performance track-focused version of the Porsche 911, initially introduced in 1993. The GT2 was introduced with the 993-generation 911, and as a result is often known as the 993 GT2. Built to comply with homologation requirements for GT2 class racing, the 993 GT2 is powered by a 3.6L M64/60 turbocharged flat-6, mated to a 6-speed manual. Compared to other 911s, the GT2 featured a large rear wing and widened fenders. The 911 GT2 Evo was a racing version of the 911 GT2 introduced in 1995 to compete in the GT1 class, now producing 600 horsepower due to larger turbochargers and featured a larger wing, larger fenders and a decrease in weight. The racing history of the 911 GT2 Evo was short-lived, being replaced with the purpose-built 911 GT1 for 1996. 11 chassis were produced.
