McLaren P1 GTR

The McLaren P1 GTR is a track-only version of the McLaren P1 produced from 2015 to 2016. Designed by Frank Stephenson, the P1 GTR was first unveiled at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance before the production P1 GTR was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Similar to the standard P1 the P1 GTR is powered by a 3.8L McLaren M838TQ twin-turbocharged V8 combined with a hybrid system although it now produces 986 horsepower in comparison to the P1. Initially available only to P1 owners, later cars were offered to those who had no interest in purchasing the standard P1 but still wanted the P1 GTR. Priced at about $3 million when new, 58 cars were produced.
