The Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 was a sports racing prototype produced and used by Alfa Romeo in sports car racing competition from 1967 to 1977. The Tipo 33/3 was the third iteration of the Tipo 33, competing in Group 5 and 6 alongside cars like the Porsche 908 and the Ferrari 312P. Built by Autodelta and powered by a 3.0L V8, the Tipo 33/3s were competitive at smaller events but were generally unable to keep pace with the other cars in larger events, especially the Porsche 917; it was only in 1971 when the team was finally successful, with Alfa Romeo finishing the competition in second place. About 16 chassis were produced.
