The Chevrolet Van is a series of vans manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet and GMC brands under a number of names from 1964 to 1996. The third generation of Chevrolet Van, introduced in 1971, acted as the final generation of the platform with a front-engine configuration and a unibody design. The vans were known as the Chevrolet Sportvan and the GMC Vandura and Rally. Advertised with the tagline "Chevrolet launches the space vehicle", the van emphasized interior space and was positioned vertically on early advertisements imitating a rocket launch. The Chevrolet Van was discontinued in 1996, being replaced by the Express.
